Madagascar, Africa

God is doing something special at Southbridge and I need your prayer. As you are aware, God has been blessing us continually with people trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior and believers are taking new steps of faith. One of the things God has done while we have been at Southbridge is to send out missionaries. One of the couples we have sent out – Grant and Jodie Waller – are now ministering by planting churches in Madagascar, Africa. This August, we are sending a small team of 7 people to host a spiritual retreat and training session for the Wallers and several other missionaries (25 total) in Africa, some of whom are on secret missions. During this time I will be preaching 7 different messages and members from our team will be leading worship and a children’s ministry. I NEED your prayer. Will you please commit to praying for me in preparation for this trip and during the trip (August 11th to the 20th). Also, pray for Shanna as she will be at home with our three little girls.

This will be Southbridge’s first overseas mission trip. Our trip objectives include:

  • Provide support for the retreat and encouragement to the Wallers and the other missionaries serving in Madagascar.
  • Gain a better understanding of how Southbridge can assist the Wallers in connecting the Mahafaly to Jesus for life-change.
  • Use this trip as a means of discipleship for the members of the Body and leadership development.
  • Use this trip as a model for future trips and a means of documenting Southbridge’s short-term trip policies and processes.

My plan is to send updates concerning the trip via my blog (you can subscribe by entering your email on the right and updates will be emailed directly to you).
